WWJD... "What would Jesus Do?" This question has been such a helpful reminder to think before one acts. Christians all over the country have worn special bracelets with these helpful letters as a sign that they will work at trying to imitate our Lord in the decisions they make. The Feast of the Ascension of our Lord is a day in which we, the Church, contemplate the difference between Jesus' mission in Luke's gospel and the mission of the Church. That is to say, we have been left with the remainder of the work.

Jesus came and gave us the example. Now it is time for us, working in communion of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to complete His work on earth, preaching the good news, aiding those who are most in need. And maybe rather than ask the question, "What would Jesus do?," we can instead ask, "What is Jesus going to do through me?"
