From the Pastor Friday, December 21, 2007
When the world is in its deepest darkness of the longest nights and the shortest days, Christians dare to revel in feasts of Light. While the powers of darkness speak ever more loudly of doom and destruction, Christians celebrate with dauntless hope manifestations of glory which reduce to nothing the arms and weapons of the mighty.
While every medium of mass communication advises us to trust in our own strength, beauty and cleverness, the gospels tell stories of a child born in a manger to simple itinerant parents. The heroes of these stories are peripheral people - old, barren poor. But God works through them and, in their lives, reveals the divine glory. (Saint Andrew's Missal.)
The staff here at Our Lady of the Mountain want to wish each of you a most blessed Christmas!
